This overview was very helpful and I appreciated that Peter showed us a real-world example of how he is using a Learning Management System with his classes. I do think Learning Management Systems are a bit easier to use with lecture-based type of classes. I would be curious to hear strategies and methods of people using them in studio courses. I was particularly interested in the TopHat interface. It seemed pretty easy to use and work with so I will be looking into that a bit more. Overall I found this quick hour-long overview quite helpful and I learned several little hints/tricks that I hope I may be able to employ in my own classroom.

This was a wonderful workshop because Joanna provided space and time for us to meet each other, learn about science at Risd efforts and to talk about our ideas and challenges of teaching science at Risd.

While there were only three of us, including Chris, it was both a provocative and meaningful discussion - one which is still roaming through my head. It made me realize, once again, how we have so few opportunities at RISD to get to discussions around deeper levels of understanding in what we do each day. Having Chris here this year has been a real gift.

I appreciated having the opportunity to hear directly from Stephanie about her efforts at ACT. I wonder whether there is a similar opportunity to hear from Planning, the Sustainability Office, and the School Department (although I realize this last one is complicated by the State takeover).
Looking forward to the continuation of the conversation regarding internal strategies for coordination.

Laura always runs discussions that are relevant and targeted. It was quite helpful to hear from the city although I still feel "art & design" is being used in a fairly superficial way. I think we could do much to help the city develop a much more robust definition of the agency of creativity and creative partnerships. Workshop was great especially in how it brought together diverse interests and individuals.

Very informative however, an hour is too short a time. I would appreciate the opportunity to have a longer workshop or for it to be in two parts.

Elon was great. Upbeat, informative, organized. One hour may not be enough time. Maybe 1 1/2 hours for future? (Though one hour fit my schedule). I'm very glad I signed up. I would be interested in sitting in on a lecture or more of Elon's, because I found her passionate about her subject, and teaching. Awesome.

Very helpful in learning ways that multilingual learners experience challenges culturally and in the classroom. Personalization of discussion helped assimilate the information and tools to bring specifically to art and design learning. Thank you.
