The Painting department welcomes Japanese-American painter Chie Fueki, who lives and works in Brooklyn. Represented by Mary Boone Gallery in New York City and Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Santa Monica, CA, Fueki creates intricately patterned and detailed paintings that combine influences from both Eastern and Western decorative and folk arts. She has shown her work in numerous group and solo exhibitions including You and I at the Orlando Museum of Art (2014) and THESE CONSTELLATIONS ARE OUR CLOSEST STARS at Shoshana Wayne Gallery (2013).
