RISD Museum | Contemporary Mapping and Global Histories
Join Tayana Fincher, Nancy Prophet fellow in Costume and Textiles; Carson Evans (MFA 18 GD, digital media fellow; and Conor Moynihan, Andrew W. Mellon curatorial fellow in Prints, Drawings and Photographs, to discuss the nuances and implications of mapping as it is represented in the RISD Museum. Joined by Alan Verskin, associate professor of history at the University of Rhode Island, they will conduct a moderated conversation about an in-house digital media project in collaboration with Fincher's upcoming exhibition It Comes in Many Forms: Islamic Art from the Collection and a contemporary work on paper currently on view.
