The TLAD department (Teaching + Learning in Art + Design) invites you to join us for a panel discussion with RISD alumni Kim Beck MFA 99 PT/PR, Matthew Bird 89 ID and Kelly Walters MFA 15 GD.
Kim Beck, RISD MFA Painting and Printmaking, presently Associate Professor Carnegie Mellon University, will discuss "Balancing an Academic and Professional Life"
Matthew Bird, RISD BFA Industrial Design, presently Senior Critic, RISD Industrial Design, will discuss "Sophomore Strategies: Projects, Evaluation, Humor"
Kelly Walters, RISD MFA Graphic Design, presently Assistant Professor, Communication Design, Parsons School of Design, The New School, Inaugural AICAD Fellow California College of the Arts, will discuss "Compelling Content of Our Time"
This is a qualifying lecture for Grad Students pursuing Collegiate Teaching Certificate, it is from the Forum in Collegiate Teaching Lecture Series.
