Panel discussion | This is America: Reimagining Memorials and Commemoration

2020 was a year marked by widespread mass protest around the world following the murder of George Floyd on May 25. Floyd’s death symbolized centuries of anti-Black racism and reignited resistance against the many legacies of racial slavery. Join us for a conversation with students, artists and scholars, including RISD Social Equity and Inclusion Fellow Christopher Roberts, as they share the important work they are doing in Rhode Island to address the state’s history.
