MLK Series - RISD MLK Week: 1/12 - 1/20

Throughout the year, the RISD community hosts the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Series (MLK Series) including programs, events, and workshops that provide RISD and the local community with impactful moments of service, reflection, self development, inspiration, and celebration.

ISMS: Exploring the Intersectionality of Identity
(Exhibition opening night. Anchor location, ISB Gallery)

Saturday, January 14th
MLK Celebration Dinner
(5pm - 8pm, $9.99 per person, Portfolio Cafe)
MLK Celebration Concert
(6:30pm - 8pm, Gospel Concert, Fleet Library)

Monday, January 16th
MLK Day of Service
(8:30am - 2:30pm, Dorcas International Institute of RI, 645 Elmwood Ave. & Mt. Hope Learning Center/MLK Elementary School, 35 Camp St.)

Thursday, January 19th
ISMS: A Conversation about Identity
(7pm - 9pm, Panel critique of select exhibition works, Chace Auditorium, 20 North Main St.)

Friday, January 20th
Emory Douglas 2017 MLK Honoree
(7pm - 9pm, 6:30pm doors open, Free ticket for RISD community starts Jan 11th. Remaining tickets available to the public beginning Jan 16th.)
