Faculty workshop | Plan or perish?
Whether teaching in in-person, hybrid or using online modalities, instructors often have to manage, structure and organize a wide range of instructional content, educational materials and different types of media. Although Learning Management Systems like Canvas facilitate instructional content management and delivery, the use of external content creation and storage tools and the task of migrating to/from other platforms raise critical questions and concerns about fragmentation, ownership, continuity, accessibility and sustainability. In this workshop we will talk about Open Educational Resources, best practices and zero/low cost tools that can help educators create, organize and curate course materials that are reusable, transferable and sustainable.
Pedagogical topics/objectives: course management, Canvas, accessibility, sustainability, Open Educational Resources
