Exhibition | 2018 Printmaking Triennial
Keeping in mind that a printmaker is an artist who also has the skills to print images that she/he creates, the 2018 Printmaking Triennial features printed work from our best, brightest and most skilled students and alumni from the past three years.
The images included in this exhibition generate a tremendous amount of inspiration and excitement, merging ancient and medieval technical elements and experimental and contemporary applications. The department is committed to stimulating experimentation, supporting the inherent idiosyncrasies in each individual’s imagery and fostering the mastery of the many diverse technical applications intrinsic in the printmaking discipline.
Thus the 2018 Printmaking Triennial highlights the role of prints in today’s world, acknowledging that the prints we create today transmit ideas about where we come from, who we are and what our future might be.
