Complexity conversation | Ceramics in the World, and the World in Ceramics

As part of the Center for Complexity Carry Forward symposium, join RISD faculty members Alero Akporiage, Jean Blackburn, Anina Major and Clement Valla as they explore what is carried by human creative expression via ceramics, their aesthetic characteristics as well as their significance as bearers and symbols of history, culture, and meaning. Introduced by Elizabeth Williams, David & Peggy Rockefeller Curator of Decorative Arts and Design, this multidisciplinary and extemporaneous conversation relates to the January 2022 RISD Museum exhibit Trading Earth: Ceramics, Commodities, and Commerce.
