Artist talk | Lily Hope

The Glass department continues its fall 2020 lecture series with Native American weaver Lily Hope, who was born and raised in Juneau, AK to full-time artists. She weaves both Ravenstail and Chilkat textiles and her ensemble, Little Watchman, blends the two styles. She teaches weaving in the Juneau community, in the Yukon Territory and down the coast of southeastern Alaska into Washington and Oregon. She also demonstrates internationally and offers lectures on the spiritual commitments of being a weaver.
