RISD QUICKIES: Introduction to Drypoint
Sunday, January 27 at 1:00pm to 6:00pm
Drypoint is an intaglio technique which involves drawing directly onto a metal plate with a stylus, which can then be printed onto paper using oil-based inks. Printmakers gravitate towards drypoint for the soft, spontaneous marks that it is capable of. In this workshop, students will develop their own drypoint images, then create a small edition of prints using an etching press.
