Body of Work: The Art of Eating Disorder Recovery

Judith Shaw is a social activist in the area of eating disorders and promotes dialogue and reflection on body acceptance. Judith will be at RISD for her opening talk, "Body of Work: The Art of Eating Disorder Recovery" on Wed. January 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Metcalf Refectory in 55 Waterman Street. Judith's visual exhibition will run until January 31. The exhibit provokes and promotes reflection and discussion about the body, nutritional health, psychological well-being, gender issues, and cultural representations and values related to eating disorders and body image. Her exhibit has traveled from St. Louis to Boston (Harvard) and New York (Columbia and NYU) where it has received positive reviews.
