Langston Hughes’ powerful and poignant poems, dating from the Harlem Renaissance through the 1960s, continue to resonate today. Join internationally acclaimed storyteller Len Cabral and members of the community in this celebration of Hughes’ poetry. The Daniel Ian Smith Jazz Trio accompanies. Free, reception follows. Presented in coordination with Anne Edmonds Clanton. Co-sponsored by RISD’s Literary Arts + Studies Department.
